Remember last summer when the bridge over the Forsyth underpass was replaced? Well, it’s happening all over again – almost. Forsyth will be closed between Olympian Way and Wallace Drive beginning June 10 for about three weeks. The City of Clayton reports on its website that settlement issues began to appear within months of the new construction last year and temporary repairs were made throughout the winter.  This month’s closing will allow for more extensive repairs to the damage.

Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be routed around the closure, through the parking lot to the north.  Vehicular through traffic will be detoured onto Forest Park Parkway.  The underpass itself will remain open to pedestrians.  Both Olympian Way and Wallace Drive will remain open to traffic.

Carolyn Gerber warns in an email that detours through the parking lot in front of Simon Hall will be blocked. Drives must enter via Olympian Way to park in front of Simon and those looking to park in the DUC garage must enter from Wallace Drive.  No sneaky shortcuts!
