Writer guidelines

If you are an Olin student, alum, faculty or staff member, contact blog@olin.wustl.edu for information about becoming a regular contributor or to submit a post. If you submit a post, please include a brief bio. Review fuller guidelines for drafting and submitting blog posts here.

We reserve the right to proofread and edit posts for grammar and spelling, share posts on social media, summarize the post in an excerpt, and boost search engine optimization (SEO).

If edits we recommend go beyond grammar or post layout, we’ll request your review before publishing. The Marketing & Communications Department, which is responsible for the Olin Blog, reserves the right to not publish content submitted to the blog.

Discussion guidelines

We encourage your comments and hope you will join the discussions. We moderate comments, and those that are off-topic or clearly promoting a commercial product generally will be removed. We expect a basic level of civility; disagreements are fine, but mutual respect is a must, and profanity or abusive language are prohibited.

Visitors who post comments do not need to register, although name and email are required. However, your email will not appear along with your comment. The blog comments and associated emails are not collected, processed or reported in any way.
