Did you know that there are 56 current or former members of the U.S. Military presently enrolled in Olin’s graduate business programs?
Since 2002 Olin has actively recruited from the military ranks for our full-time MBA program. Recently we have re-committed and extended our efforts across all of Olin’s graduate programs.
One of Olin’s current Executives-in-Residence and former president of AB InBev’s Anheuser Busch U.S. operations, Dave Peacock, has taken a keen interest in this initiative. In addition to personally meeting and mentoring current students with military backgrounds, Dave is also helping Olin to build a strong and productive working relationship between these students and leading corporate executives here in St. Louis and beyond.
The Olin Military Initiative has been developed over the past year and includes plans for:
- more effective outreach and recruiting of military vets to our programs
- providing exceptional career preparation and management training
- providing comprehensive personal support to the vets and their families
Much of the latter is provided by the graduate student group – the Olin Veterans Association (OVA)(http://olinwustl.campusgroups.com/ova/home/).
