Olin’s Marketing & Communications team bid a reluctant goodbye to Gabe Watson on Friday, Jan. 8. Watson, PMBA, has been a brand manager and social media strategist at Olin for five years. He has accepted a position with Emerson’s Climate Technologies division. In his new role as customer experience and communication leader, he will work on the Sensi Wi-Fi thermostat, part of the company’s consumer-product connected home HVAC devices.

Paula Crews, associate dean and Director of Marketing & Communications said, “For those of you who have worked with Gabe, you know that he has been a valuable asset to our team and school and always has a friendly greeting for you. He will be greatly missed.”
Crews also announced a new addition to the M&C team. Sydney Miller has been hired as a digital content specialist.

Sydney comes to Olin from Varsity Tutors, a St. Louis-based business started by Olin alumnus Chuck Cohn, BSBA’08. She will focus on content strategy and execution for websites, digital signage, and social media.
