Olin’s Office of Corporate Relations (OCR) hosted a baby shower in honor of two of its three staff members today. OCR’s Iwona Ivanov has been on maternity leave for two-and-a-half months and introduced her son, Hugo, to colleagues for the first time. Hugo was a perfect gentleman during the lunchtime celebration. He allowed delighted staffers to take turns holding him as he heard them say silly things in English – a foreign language for the infant polyglot. At home, Hugo communicates with his parents in French, Polish, and Bulgarian.

Amy Pridmore is expecting a daughter in seven weeks and was delighted with presents of diapers, tiny pink outfits, and other new mom essentials. Megan Waite, a Specialized Masters Program staffer who is due in two weeks rounded out the trio of happy moms and moms-to-be. Congratulations to all!
