The Olin Entertainment & Media Association welcomed St. Louis Rams’ COO, Kevin Demoff, to campus and scored a page in the Olin history books. It was the first official student-sponsored event held in the Frick Forum. Turner Peters, MBA ’14, helped organize the talk that was attended by 50 students, faculty, and staff.
Demoff kicked off his presentation with two videos highlighting his work with the Rams football team as well as the team’s focus on giving back to the St. Louis Community.
Demoff shared that great leadership and stability are two very important characteristics for students to seek as they pursue their careers after graduation.
He feels the Rams are one of the most stable NFL organizations today and it is an exciting time to be a part of the Rams – because of their current leadership and stability. He also provided some pointers on how an MBA student could get into the sports business. His advice: start by demonstrating how you can add value and make a difference on day one as a member of the professional sports team you want to join.
