Friends of Olin—affectionally known as F.O.O.—are a special group of people who volunteer every year to get involved with students and faculty and help create the exiting intersection of business and academia that we all enjoy at Olin. More than 140 corporate friends, alumni, and students attended the 2013 Friends of Olin celebration on May 31, hosted by the Office of Corporate Relations.
For the third consecutive year, the Olin Business School community gathered to honor all those who generously give their time, energy, and experience to the school as mentors, classroom speakers, competition judges, and Advisory Board members.
Many of the companies that hire Olin students for internships and full-time positions, such as Edward Jones, Express Scripts, Monsanto, Rubin Brown, and Wells Fargo Advisors, were represented by executives at the event.
One of Olin’s dedicated corporate friends, John Beuerlein (MBA ’77), General Partner at Edward Jones, and student speaker, Brooke James (MBA ‘13), presented remarks during the ceremony.
While networking and enjoying the buffet, the guests admired a series of posters with testimonials from Olin students.
As a token of thanks, everyone received a box of customized Friends of Olin candies.
