Students score at Sports Biz Conference

The Olin Sports Management Organization (OSMO) traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana for the annual Sports Management Worldwide Conference on February 21st – 23rd, 2014.

During a full conference schedule, students had the opportunity to hear from a variety of keynote speakers including sports agents, talent scouts, President of the San Francisco 49ers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Chicago Bears Head Coach Mark Trestman, and more.

The topics discussed focused on the wide range of opportunities that exist in sports and the best actions to take to prepare for careers in the sports industry.  In addition to the speakers, the conference took place alongside the NFL Combine in Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indainapols Colts.

OSMO members had the chance to meet several NFL head coaches–including Jeff Fisher, Rex Ryan, and Jim Harbaugh.  Pictured with the OSMO students is legendary quarterback and Denver Broncos VP/General Manager John Elway. Overall, the trip was an extremely rewarding experience for all attendees.  The Olin Undergraduate Program Office and the Weston Career Center co-sponsored the club travel.
