Our very own Associate Dean, Joe Fox, received the Sterling H. Schoen Achievement Award at The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management’s Orientation Program on June 9 in New Orleans.

The Sterling H. Schoen Achievement Award was established in honor of The Consortium’s founder, Dr. Sterling H. Schoen, an agent for change in graduate management education in partnership with American businesses. Former Olin Dean, Bob Virgil, was the first recipient of the Schoen Award.

Professor Schoen was an esteemed faculty member at Washington University, as well.  The award is presented annually to individuals in recognition of their courageous leadership and commitment in advancing the goal of equal opportunity for underrepresented minorities in American business. Congratulations, Joe!

Peter Aranda, The Consortium’s executive director and CEO,  was a Consortium fellow at Olin when he earned his MBA in 1987. Read Peter’s profile in the 2012 OlinBusiness Magazine, p. 15.
