Remember when we reported on alumni who were converting an old bus into a mobile food market to serve St. Louis neighborhoods without grocery stores known as “food deserts”? Well, the St. Louis MetroMarket is on the road and making stops to sell healthy, affordable produce to city residents.

The St. Louis MetroMarket was co-founded by Colin Dowling, PMBA’12, who studied food access and social entrepreneurship. His co-founders, WashU alum Tej Azad, AB’12, and Jeremy Goss, who was a medical student at SLU are pursuing graduate studies at Stanford and Harvard. According to the St. Louis American, “Dowling, who helps oversee day-to-day operations, is an operations manager for a software startup in St. Louis.”

The St. Louis American reports on the MetroMarket, June 16, 2016.
