Olin Women in Business was thrilled to join the admissions team in hosting a Women’s Weekend in January. The two-day program invited prospective MBA women to visit Olin and learn about the MBA program, student life, and St. Louis opportunities.
The first evening featured a reception hosted by Olin’s Center for Experiential Learning. The CEL highlighted the opportunities to gain real world business experience during the academic school year. Students spoke of their experiences sitting on boards, visiting businesses abroad, and consulting for local St. Louis companies.

The second day was packed with meeting Olin’s administration. OWIB President Ellen He and Dean Mahendra Gupta kicked off the morning, followed by the leaders of student affairs, a professor discussing her Women in Leadership class, and a female alumni panel. That evening, the women went on a tour of WashU and joined current students from Olin Women in Business.
The Women’s Weekend allowed prospective students to learn more about the MBA program, as well as ask questions about being a woman pursuing a business career. Twenty women attended the weekend, and OWIB hopes to host an even larger group next year.
