Bob and Barbara Frick are on another cross-country road trip to raise funds and awareness for their hometown Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley  (HEBSV) chapter. Bob, 77, and friend Len Holmes, 73, are cycling the 3,400 miles from the San Francisco Bay Area to Savannah, Georgia, headquarters of Habitat for Humanity International, while Barbara drives the support vehicle.

The trio set out from San Francisco on May 9 on the trip they call “Cycle of Hope III.”

In 2008, Bob rode 3,300 miles from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL and raised over $80,000 for HEBSV (Cycle of Hope I).

In 2012, Bob and Len biked 3,000 miles across the U.S. following the Lewis and Clark trail from Portland, Oregon to St. Louis, Missouri and raised over $180,000 for HEBSV (Cycle of Hope II).

Bob Frick, BSCE’60, MBA’62, is a retired Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank of America and actively serves on boards of non-profit and for-profit entities including the Olin National Council and Wash U Board of Trustees. Len Holmes recently retired from a successful 35 year career in the packaging and consulting industry.
